Receiving coaching from Lorna has made a huge impact on my life! I feel her genuine interest and concern for me. She has an open, non-judgmental approach that helps me feel safe with her. That feeling of safety and trust has given me the courage to explore challenging personal problems. I learned that I need to treat myself with kindness and compassion. So often I would tell myself things that I would never say to a close friend or family member. I learned that I need to talk to myself the way I would to someone I respect. I also learned how to grow my self-confidence in a way I never thought about before.

Lorna helps me get to the root of what I’m wrestling with in my life. She helps me process tough emotions and parse out what I have control over and what I need to let go of. This has been a challenging season for me and I’m so grateful that Lorna, as a kind and wise companion, has walked through it with me.

I understand that my brain plays a huge role in how I process things like thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. My brain was trained to process things in an unhealthy way. Life coaching helped correct that.

I had a few aha moments. One that stands out to me is realizing and understanding that it's okay to feel all sorts of emotions. I don't need to try to avoid them.

I love how you customized every appointment to what I needed. You really listened to me. You didn't give me the answers. You made sure I understood the question and let me dig deep, if I needed to, to find the answer.

One of the biggest aha moments I've had is facing the roots of my negative thoughts. Being able to dig more deeply and honestly ask myself why I allow certain negative spirals has been empowering; it has helped me realize that most of my irrational thoughts are based on assumptions and whims that are simply not true. I've come to understand that I am stronger and more capable than I realize, and that my mind truly affects what I allow myself to achieve.

Lorna is so personable and kind. I've never participated in coaching sessions before, so I was a little apprehensive at first. Lorna creates a space that is safe and without judgement, where I feel at ease to truly express my thoughts and concerns. She is kind, warm and genuine. She asks the important questions and gently helps me develop my own solutions. I always come away feeling empowered, listened to, and in better tune with myself in a way I can move forward. Life coaching is the definition of empowerment; rather than simply giving advice, the purpose of a coach is to listen, ask meaningful questions, and guide an individual in developing their own solutions and establishing patterns of self-awareness and help that they can apply the rest of their life.
